Event description
Lecture series
The lecture series Dual Art History offers a comparative view of the development of art in the Czech Republic and Slovakia from the establishment of Czechoslovakia to the present day. In six thematic lectures, it traces the common roots and divergent trajectories of both cultural environments in the context of political, social and cultural transformations of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The Czech context will be presented by Tamara Kubečková, curator of the Drawings and Prints collections, and the Slovak context by Matej Pancurák, curator of the Photography and New Media collections.
