Saturday:
What Is Our Universe Like?
Embark on a fascinating journey through the history of our understanding of the cosmos—from humanity’s earliest conceptions to modern science about galaxies. This lecture in the unique “Science on a Sphere” Hall will present key discoveries and groundbreaking technologies that have fundamentally changed our view of humanity’s place in the universe.
The Story of “Science on a Sphere”:
Train Like an Astronaut
Experience a part of the demanding astronaut training firsthand during a 45-minute program that will take you all the way to the International Space Station. You’ll tackle tasks focused on science, movement, and health (recommended for children ages 6 and up accompanied by an adult; the physical component of the experience includes climbing stairs).
All Water
Explore the surface and the deepest depths of the endless oceans in the footsteps of explorer James Cook thanks to the unique “Science on a Sphere” technology. Dive into the ocean depths to discover the local wildlife and see what our planet would look like if we drained all the water from it.
Guided Tour with a “Science on a Sphere” Demonstration
Discover the building’s architecture, its unique atmosphere, our laboratories and workshops, and find out what Sféra has to offer schools and the public. The tour also includes a demonstration of our amazing digital science sphere, Science on a Sphere.
