Horses

The Pardubice Racecourse is one of the oldest and most important horse racing venues in Central Europe. The first races were held here in 1856.

The highlight of the season is the famous Velká pardubická, one of the toughest steeplechase races in the world. During the year, the racecourse also hosts other race days, equestrian events and family programmes.

Apolenka Farm, located in the nearby village of Spojil, is a popular place for families and animal lovers.

Visitors can meet a variety of animals, including horses, goats, sheep and llamas, enjoy refreshments at the Chlívek Bistro, or buy local dairy products. The peaceful farm setting makes it a great place for a relaxing trip.
