East Bohemian Museum in Pardubice

Pardubice Castle is home to the East Bohemian Museum, which presents the history, art and culture of the region through several permanent exhibitions.

Visitors can explore displays such as S.K.L.E.M. – The World of Beauty, Lightness, Elegance and Magic, dedicated to Czech glassmaking, or the numismatic exhibition You Can’t Take Money to Your Grave. The castle tower offers views of the surrounding landscape, and replicas of the Pernštejn cannons can be seen on the castle ramparts.

Gočár's Gallery in Pardubice

Gočár Gallery in Pardubice was established in 1953 as the Regional Gallery. Today it operates in two locations – the historic House at Jonah on Pernštýnské Square and the renovated Automatic Mills complex, where new exhibition spaces opened in 2023.

The gallery presents exhibitions of modern and contemporary art.

GAMPA – Gallery of the City of Pardubice

GAMPA focuses on contemporary art and current social themes. Since 2023, the gallery has been located in the renovated Automatic Mills complex alongside Gočár Gallery and the Sféra education centre.

The gallery offers temporary exhibitions, artist residencies and accompanying programmes.

Zámeček Memorial

Zámeček Memorial

The Zámeček Memorial is a place of remembrance located on the site of a former Nazi execution ground. The memorial includes an outdoor commemorative area and a museum with a modern exhibition dedicated to the events of World War II and the resistance movement in the Pardubice region.

The architecture of the memorial was awarded two prizes in the Building of the Year 2022 competition.

Memory of Nations Institute

The Memory of Nations Institute presents the history of the 20th century through modern interactive technologies and real personal stories.

Visitors choose a story to follow and are guided through the exhibition using projections, sound effects, augmented reality and interactive displays. The institute also organises public talks and workshops for schools.

Mázhaus Exhibition Space

Mázhaus Exhibition Space

The historic Mázhaus building near the town hall hosts exhibitions by local and visiting artists as well as student exhibitions.

Part of the exhibition space is located in the cellar known as Šatlava, which once served as a prison.

The University of Pardubice Gallery is located in the main university building and focuses mainly on exhibitions by emerging artists from the Czech Republic and abroad.

Railway History Exhibition

Railway History Exhibition

This exhibition presents the history of railways and public transport in the Pardubice region. It is located in the former railway waterworks building in Rosice nad Labem.

The museum displays hundreds of historical objects and documents and regularly organises nostalgic rides with historic trains, trolleybuses and other vehicles.

ART SPACE NOV

Art Space NOV focuses on contemporary art, including installations, multimedia projects, performances and video art. The gallery is located in the basement of a Renaissance house on Pernštýnské Square.

Openings traditionally take place around the new moon, while accompanying events such as readings and concerts are often held around the full moon.
