To the water

After a recent renovation, the excursion boat Arnošt of Pardubice once again sails along the Elbe River. The boat departs near the Pardubice ice hockey arena and travels to Srnojedy, Brozany and Kunětice, from where it is only a short walk to Kunětická hora Castle.

Visitors can relax on the open upper deck with views of the surrounding landscape or sit inside the air-conditioned lower deck. The boat also offers a restaurant with refreshments.

Aquacentrum Pardubice is the largest water park in East Bohemia and offers a modern complex for swimming, relaxation and family fun.

Visitors can enjoy 25 m and 50 m swimming pools, waterslides, a climbing wall above the water and a wellness zone with saunas and spa facilities. A fitness centre is also available.

During the summer season, the complex includes an outdoor beach area with additional pools, a paddling pool for children and grassy areas for relaxation.

The Cihelna outdoor swimming pool is open from June to September. Visitors can enjoy several pools, including a swimming pool, diving pool and pools with water attractions.

The complex offers slides, waterslides, water features and relaxation areas with massage jets and whirlpools. There are also refreshment stands and shaded areas for relaxing during hot summer days.

In Na Špici Park, where the Elbe and Chrudimka rivers meet, visitors can enjoy a variety of water activities.

The area offers an inflatable water park, paddleboard rentals, pedal boats, motor boats and canoes. It’s a great place for a fun day by the water for both children and adults.

In Pardubice you can rent a canoe, raft or kayak and explore the river with family or friends. The calm waters of the Chrudimka River are especially suitable for beginners and families with children.

Several popular swimming spots can be found north and west of Pardubice. These former sand quarries are now popular places for swimming, water sports and summer relaxation.

• Opatovice Sand Lake (Opaťák) – one of the most popular swimming spots in the area, known for its clean water and grassy beaches.

• Mělice Sand Lake – offers campsites, water skiing, pedal boat rentals and refreshments.

• Buňkov Pond – a family-friendly campsite with a gently sloping beach, playground and sports facilities.

• Marina Camp (Hrádek) – a modern area with accommodation, beach access and sailing activities.

You can also spend a relaxing day fishing at a nearby pond. Visitors can try catch-and-release fishing without needing their own equipment or fishing licence.

Fishing rods and bait are available for rent, and the area also includes a restaurant with outdoor seating and a playground for children.
