Keramický workshop: Raku miska
Event description

Creation of a hand-drawn raku tea bowl - a two-phase workshop led by ceramicist Marcela Pospíšilová.

Raku pottery is a traditional Japanese pottery firing technique that originated in the 16th century and was originally associated with the tea ceremony. Typically, the pottery is cooled rapidly after being removed from the kiln - often placed in sawdust, leaves, straw or water. This process produces very distinctive, often irregular colour effects and cracks on the surface (called craquelure).

It is necessary to attend both workshops on the following dates:
Bowl making and engobe: 20. 01. | 17:30-19:00
Glazing and firing: 03. 02. | 17:30-19:00

Material for both workshops is provided.
