17:30 Opening & Guided Tour
We invite you to join us for a final walk through of the Poetry Is. exhibition, during which we will explore together the work of artists and writers experimenting with text across artistic disciplines. We will see how poetic language becomes a living part of artistic expression and how poetry, materialized in intermedia works, can transform our way of perceiving and experiencing text.
18:00 Iryna Zahladko: Propaganda/Performance
Where and how will Iryna Zahladko's words be heard everywhere? The evening will feature a fresh new release from Adolescent Publishing, a collection of poems entitled Propaganda by Iryna Zahladko. The word here is not an ornament and the verse is not a hiding place.
18:30 Adam Borzic: Peacock Logic / Poetry
The poet's face is blue-green with a metallic sheen. The world of peacock logic is not chained, and you won't find chains of events in it either. Peacock Logic, a collection of poems by Adam Borzic, which he will present during the evening, is a playful meditation that transforms the inner and outer world into images full of colour, paradox and deep feeling.
19:00 Cera: Hum to me from the other side / performance
A sound performance (Hum to me from the other side) looking at the perception of the world by people with partial deafness and other hearing impairments, balancing between music and sound installation.
19:30 Libor Staněk I.
A second one comes on the scene and murders the first one who, murders the third one who murders the first one. He sings. Libor Stanek I., father of the poet and frontman of the Slovak-Czech kraut band Sýček, will play a special set with his friends dedicated to contemporary Czech-Slovak poetry.
20:30 post-music
The Prague duo Post-Hudba combines songwriting techniques with broken electronics (and calls it "wimpy" pop). Stories of everyday anti-heroes wrapped in cool synth surfaces and scattered beats. Something halfway between London and Brno.
