The lecture will take us to the heart of the Persian Gulf, specifically Bahrain and Qatar. We will explore the capital of Bahrain, Manama, as well as the historical and cultural richness of Doha, Qatar, including the traditional old market. We'll also look at Bahrain's oil fields and mention the traditional pearling that has been typical of these areas in the past. The lecture will offer a comprehensive look at the history, culture and economy of these fascinating countries.
