Reálka Pardubice - Sál Jana Kašpara - Komenského nám. 120 Pardubice
cinema - film

Event description

In the first part, we’ll explore the tourist attractions and landmarks of the resort town of Makarska. A boat trip will then take us to two nearby islands: Hvar, where we’ll visit Jelsa, and then on to Brač, famous for its world-renowned beaches and the rare natural formation known as Zlatni Rat. Another excursion will take us to the cloud-piercing heights of the Biokovo Mountains. From the Vošac viewpoint, the entire Makarska Riviera lies at our feet, and from the highest peak, Sveti Jura, we can see the entire mountain range and the distant surroundings. The film will then culminate with a visit to many interesting and attractive sites on the return journey. These will include the mouth of the Cetina River in Omiš, Diocletian’s Palace in Split, the historic towns of Trogir and Šibenik, at least part of Krka National Park, the waterfalls in Slunj–Rastoce, and, on Austrian territory, the pilgrimage site of Mariazell and Göttweig Abbey, which dominates Krems. An 86-minute travel documentary was created from the entire trip and the return journey.

The video will be screened as part of the fall series of screenings organized by the Synthesia Pardubice branch of the Czech Tourist Club in the Kašpar Hall of the Regional Office on Wednesday, September 9, at 5:00 p.m. Admission is free.
