Martin Filippi / Stand-up comedy: Hra se slovy
Event description

A stand-up comedy show by Martin Filippi.
Loads of puns and jokes about relationships, family, health, the Czech language, and baldness. The word “girlfriend” will also pop up in every other sentence. By then, she’ll actually be his wife, but Martin probably won’t be able to keep that straight. Not that she’ll be his wife, but that he’s supposed to call her that now. The audience is expected to have a basic knowledge of Czech; foreigners and Gen Z attendees enter at their own risk of boredom. The word “jářku” will also come up. On the other hand, there’s a minimum of profanity.

Performance length: 75 minutes, no intermission

Martin Filippi has an Italian last name and a German haircut, but he’s as Czech as they come. He loves wordplay, so not everything in his performance is true. He talks about life, but not his own. About success, but not his own. About hair... Which makes it all the more sincere when he decides to include something from his private life. He hopes that by summer, he’ll still be funnier than artificial intelligence. A stand-up comedian who made his name as a member of the Underground Comedy group. He started out as a slam poet. Today, he focuses on short, precisely targeted jokes that rely on wordplay.
