Event description

Special Program for Active Seniors

Sites of Community Importance (SCI) serve not only to protect rare plants and animals, but also unique habitats. Their goal is to preserve Europe’s natural wealth across the entire continent. What European protected areas are there in the Pardubice Region, and what makes them unique? Where can you go to discover these European treasures? You’ll learn this and much more during a lecture focused on nature conservation that extends beyond our country’s borders.

Are you interested in the world around you and want to learn more about history, art, natural sciences, architecture, archaeology, or the work of museum professionals? Are you fascinated by the stories behind objects and people, or do you enjoy going on excursions? The East Bohemian Museum in Pardubice has prepared the Museum Academy educational program just for you.

This course, filled with lectures, guided tours, walks, workshops, and field trips takes place in the lecture hall of Pardubice Castle, its surroundings, or the museum’s storage facility in Ohrazenice, on an irregular basis on Wednesdays starting at 9:00 a.m. and in the afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
